Research / EnsadLab

EnsadLab, the École des Arts Déco's laboratory for research in art & design.

Combining research and training, EnsadLab currently consists of 10 research programs that cover the fields of both design and art, such as the graphic arts, typography, service design, design of objects or space, interactive installations, virtual spaces, new materials, and mobility.

The research programs are directed by professor-researchers, instructors, and professionals with a high level of expertise. Each program involves French and foreign student-researchers selected by the School. They already hold a Master's degree or equivalent, and some are enrolled in doctoral programs, more often than not within EnsadLab's research-partner institutions (50 student-researchers and 20 professors, researchers, and renowned professionals).

For each of these programs, the School is developing public or private partnerships, with universities, grandes écoles, businesses, or research laboratories.

Become a student-researcher!

The EnsadLab programs are accessible to graduates of the École des Arts Déco, as well as to outside candidates with a diploma equivalent to five years of university study (Master's level) or with a high professional level in the program of research concerned. At the end of each academic year, an evaluation validates the year of participation in the program and judges whether or not the student-researcher continues to the following year.
Enrolment at EnsadLab is for a maximum of three years. (Enrollment is closed for the current year.)
